A new business complex has a vertical façade system superimposed with an image of falling snow to create a dynamic elevation for passers by.
- Novosibirsk, Russia
Snowy Mile is a new business complex in the Oktyabrskiy Rayon region of Novosibirsk. Its program comprises of multiple business towers, luxury hotels, a theatre and a shopping mall. Its name is derived from its linear arrangement and theme of falling snow. Each facade is composed by vertical lines of fritted glass, which vary in length – forming the relief of a given texture. The vertical lines on the facades help to lighten the dense feeling of the business centre, blurring their harsh edges and dissolving the forms of the buildings when it snows.
