PROCESS

vPPR’s design consists of modular structures, clad in upcycled foam, which, when arranged together, playfully allude to the excavation of a difficult site.

The modules were designed in varying sizes to accommodate 3D models, while a sloped top was conceived to display 2D images. The modularity of the exhibition makes it easy to reconfigure and travel to a new exhibition space.

The use of bonded foam sheets as cladding to the plinths, made of 100 percent recycled polyethylene, brings a visually engaging and sustainable materiality to the exhibition.

Accidental variations in the colours of the foam enables each of the three curatorial sections – Urban Sites, Landscape, and Reworks – to have their own colour range, creating different “difficult plinths” for each section.
