PROCESS

vPPR has created  modular storage solutions that double as artwork display spaces. Using a simple material palette of plywood and stainless steel, the room is opened up for creative learning.

SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY

x Spatial rationalisation of storage increases usable area by 30%
x Bespoke joinery made from Forest Stewardship Council certified birch plywood
x New joinery and organisation, allows instant visual stock levels to be taken, saving time and avoiding waste
x Design customised to incorporate existing sculpture cabinet and printing press
x Allocated storage space for portfolio, A1 artworks and materials storage.
x All metalwork is 100% recycled at end of life. Stainless steel worktop, sinks and plinth ensures robust and durable finish
x Existing floor finish retained and refurbished
x Off site fabrication allowed for no disturbance to the school’s curriculum
x New tables on wheels allows tables to be reconfigured for classroom or still life configurations.
x Existing seating refurbished, rooms equipped with new sinks, optimising use of space.
